Professional Photography by Emma Louise Photography Edenbridge Kent

If this is the first time you’ve considered investing in photography, be it for your wedding, family portraits or special event then you’ve come to the right place.

Do you provide all the images on a disc?

Yes digital negatives can be purchased either individually or as a collection from your online proofing gallery after our session. Unless otherwise advertised digital negatives are NOT included with the session fee.

What is included in the price?
I try to keep my prices clear. Your session fee covers my time, my expenses, my equipment, my photographic style, as well as my post production editing technique etc.

Unless advertised products are not included with the cost of your session but they are available for you to purchase directly from your private viewing gallery around two weeks after your session.

What is your availability?
Weekends are obviously a premium and are booked up very quickly. I am also available on some weekdays and evenings; on my booking page you can find my calender of availability which I try to keep updated as often as possible.

How long will my portrait session last?
I allow around 90 minutes to 2 hours for standard portrait sessions, a little longer for newborns and young babies. The best photographs evolve throughout the session so it’s best if there are no time restraints.

How do we pay?
Payment is due in advance to secure your booking with me. Details of how to pay will be provided in your contract once your booking is confirmed.

What should we wear?
I have a whole page dedicated to this very important question!

Where is the photo session?
In my experience, I’ve found that everyone is most comfortable in a place they love to be – their home, the beach, a park. So I recommend on-location shoots where possible. Of course, I’m happy to bring my backdrops & lights to create a blank palette.

If you don’t have the space to facilitate my mobile studio setup then I can hire a large professional studio space in Southbourough, Kent for our session.

Should I bring anything else to my photo shoot?
As well as bringing a selection of clothing changes, you may also want to bring some props. For example – flowers, hats, bubbles, balloons, jewellery, baby clothes, a scan picture or anything else that might enhance your final images. I have a vast array of props which I bring with me to sessions where possible.

How many pictures will you take?
For standard portrait sessions I take around 100 pictures throughout the session and from this I shall pick approximately 30 – 40 of the best for your private gallery, the final amount can fluctuate. Final images are usually a mixture of both colour and black & white depending on client specifications.

For wedding photography commissions I do not guarantee a minimum or maximum number of images, no wedding is the same and the number will always fluctuate. I select and edit the very best images from those taken at your wedding and present you with them all in a private online viewing gallery.

Will the whole world be able to see my photos afterwards?
Once the photos have been lightly edited after your shoot I will email you with a link to your secure password protected online gallery and you will then be able to view your final photos at your leisure. Prints and other items are available for you to purchase via your gallery.

I do tend to blog or share a limited number of images from each of my sessions but client permission is generally sought in advance of publication.

When will our pictures be ready?
The turn-around time is around 2 weeks depending on how busy I am. This allows me enough time to lightly fine tune where necessary to ensure your images are absolutely perfect at your viewing session. For larger groups and event photography this timescale is slightly longer but I will always advise you of when your images are likely to be ready.

Why can’t I access the album with the password provided?
If you have been pre-advised of your password once I have finished working on and uploaded all images from a session your password will work.

How long will my proofing gallery be available?
7 days. If you require additional time to decide or need me to reactivate a past session an admin fee of £15 per 7 days will be charged.

Can I buy the copyright to my images?
Digital negatives are available under print release only. I retain the copyright to all of my images.

Where is my order?
If you place an order through the gallery your product(s) will be shipped direct from my supplier who will advise you of the estimated date of delivery. If you order other products through me it normally takes around two weeks to process from receipt of cleared payment. I will always update you to let you know when to expect your products.

Do you store my images after I have placed an order?
I store images for 12 months after a session. I do provide an archiving service for a small fee.

If you have any further questions for me, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
